It always amazes me how self-professed 'non-creatives' can have startlingly creative ideas!

Alyson - I still think that a safari theme will be perfect for a client one day!
I agree with Ryan that self described "non-creative" types can effectively contribute to creative brainstorms. I've experienced it many times.

Thanks for the comment Ryan! As a natural born creative with some athletic skills, I hold your opinion in high regard.

You're totally right.

The athlete analogy is dead on. Some people are born athletes. But they'll only become stars if they practice hard. People who aren't born athletes can still practice hard and become good at the sport, though probably not stars.

Same with creatives. The top stars are both born with it and work hard, but those who don't feel as naturally creative can still learn to contribute creatively.

I never even mentioned that! I totally had a ton of expired ones as well. Kept putting off using them until it was too late.

Hi Alyson!,
I totally agree with your observations. I was recently wondering why I am subscribed to all of these. I have half a dozen un-used "coupons" and am joining you in moving away from this fad.
Thanks for bringing it to light.

Words are the mirror to one's mind. As you know, my business coaches are language profilers and hence they read peoples minds, I'm just glancing into their world. Great post!
